Pistons' Michael Gbinije: Headed back to Grand Rapids
Gbinije was assigned to the D-League's Grand Rapids Drive on Wednesday, Aaron McMann of MLive.com reports.
Analysis:
Both Gbinije and Henry Ellenson were sent back to the D-League, and the pair will be available for the Drive's matchup with the Long Island Nets on Wednesday. Coach Stan Van Gundy said Gbinije and Ellenson will also play in Saturday's game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, and it's unclear when they might rejoin the NBA squad.
