Rockets' Eric Gordon: Scores 12 off the bench in loss to Heat

Gordon notched 12 points (4-15 FG, 3-10 3pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists and a steal over 31 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 117-109 loss to the Heat.

Analysis:

Gordon returned to action Wednesday after being sidelined for the past two games with a back injury, and he resumed his work as the Rockets' sixth man. He delivered his usual flurry of 3-pointers and double-digit scoring, but the Heat have been appropriately hot lately, winning 13 of their last 15 games. Gordon has the ability to show flashes of productivity, but he won't post monster stats unless one of his teammates suffers an injury. He may see some extra time if Patrick Beverley (groin) has a lingering issue with the injury he sustained in Wednesday's game.
