Raptors' Norman Powell: Successful in start Wednesday

Powell scored 17 points (5-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT) with three steals and two rebounds across 28 minutes in Wendesday's 90-85 win over the Hornets.

Analysis:

With newly acquired Serge Ibaka not making his Raptors' debut Powell was thrust into Toronto's starting lineup on Wednesday, and he was a key contributor in the team's first win in their last four outings. Ibaka will likely be inserted into the starting lineup after the All Star break, but Powell should still see a bump in minutes as the Raptors' primary backup at shooting guard now that Terrence Ross is out of the picture.
