Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Ruled out Monday vs. Spurs

Allen is dealing with a sore right knee and has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Spurs, Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports reports.

Analysis:

Allen has started the last five games for the ailing Thaddeus Young (wrist), but the Pacers will have to explore some other options with both players set to miss Monday's game. Young is expected to remain out through the All-Star break, so Allen could potentially pick up two starts later this week if he's able to shake off the knee soreness, but for Monday, look for Kevin Seraphin to take on the bulk of the minutes at power forward, with Paul George also potentially seeing more run than usual at the position when the Pacers roll with small-ball lineups. More clarification on the Pacers' lineup plans should arrive closer to the 7:00 p.m. ET tip off.
