Watch: Whiteside wants some respect on his name

Hassan Whiteside believes he may be the Rodney Dangerfield of the NBA, feeling his play doesn't get the respect it deserves.

The Miami Heat's 10-game winning streak - which continued Saturday with a 23-point victory over the visiting Philadelphia 76ers - should help sway some skeptics and naysayers of both him and his team, though.

Following his incredible 30-point, 20-rebound performance (he scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the first quarter alone) at American Airlines Arena, Whiteside was asked what contributed to his hot start.

"You know, I just want people to put some respect on my name. You know, put some respect on my name," he said.

The 27-year-old averaged 12.4 points on 51.8 percent shooting, 11.6 boards and 1.5 rejections in Miami's nine wins ahead of facing Philly.

Miami is now 21-30 on the season, and just 2.5 games behind the Charlotte Hornets for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.
