Watch: Dion Waiters stuffs Dwight Howard, makes sure Heat capitalize

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

Dion Waiters is doing it all for the Miami Heat.

The reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week came from behind to erase Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard's attempt underneath the basket on Wednesday.

Waiters wasn't done there. He kept the ball in play and ran the length of the court before dishing to Rodney McGruder for three. That shot didn't fall, but Waiters was hell bent on scoring, so he slapped the ball right out of Paul Millsap's mitts and laid it up off the glass.

The fifth-year guard finished with 20 points, seven boards, three assists, two blocks, and two steals in 29 minutes in Miami's 116-93 victory. The Heat are the league's hottest squad, winning nine in a row.
