Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart let his emotions get the best of him both on and off the court in Tuesday's defeat to the Washington Wizards.

In addition to his meltdown with Celtics assistant coaches, Smart later admitted to punching a hole in the Verizon Center locker room following the contest.

The 22-year-old has since apologized for his actions, saying they were "childish and unprofessional."

Smart and the Celtics bounced back on Wednesday, downing the Houston Rockets to snap their three-game losing skid.
