Watch: Embiid casually drains half-court shot in practice

Joel Embiid has some range.

The Philadelphia 76ers center has shown so far in his rookie campaign that he can do damage inside and make defenders pay from the perimeter.

Although he's dealing with a left ankle sprain and didn't practice with the team Thursday, he did put up some shots - including this half-court bucket.

Notice how the 7-footer didn't leave his feet.

Earlier in the season, Embiid was shooting 50 percent from deep, and even expressed a desire to participate in the 3-point shootout during All-Star weekend. His long-range accuracy has since dwindled to a still respectable 36.7 percent.
