Report: Hawks shopping Tim Hardaway Jr.

Brett Davis / USA TODAY Sports

With their sell-off seemingly in full effect, the Atlanta Hawks are trying to find a taker for shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr., according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.

Hardaway is in the midst of a career year, but is slated for restricted free agency at season's end. The Hawks aren't keen on paying his next contract, and after dealing Kyle Korver on Thursday, they're dangling Hardaway in the hopes of bringing back second-round picks, Lowe said on his podcast Friday.

The Hawks acquired Hardaway on draft day in 2015, in exchange for the first-round pick that the Knicks used to select point guard Jerian Grant.

The 24-year-old is averaging 11.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 34 percent from 3-point range. The Hawks have been 8.3 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor.
