Lebron James is a seasoned and accomplished NBA veteran, so he doesn't seem nervous on the court.

He was nervous, however, watching Monday's preview episode of "The Wall," a game show the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar helped produce. Having been there "from Day 1 when it was pitched," to seeing it on NBC gave him a sense of accomplishment.

"To see it come all the way to where it was last night, it was like seeing your kid go off to college," James told reporters Tuesday, as quoted by ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Contestants on "The Wall" can win up to $12 million per episode. It's the latest in a growing list of projects James is working on with longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter.

"It was great," James said. "I remember from Day 1 when it was pitched to us, and it was put on like a PowerPoint (presentation), and the wall was constructed of like a big ol' board of paper, and the game was broken down of how it was going to be played and how the contestants can win and things of that nature."

The four-time MVP screened the first episode for teammates, and Richard Jefferson shared a glimpse of the viewing session on Snapchat, when he asked James why he was so nervous.

"I'm nervous for the contestants," the 31-year-old replied.

"It's a good show, though," Jefferson added.

A second preview episode airs Jan. 2, with "The Wall" officially premiering Jan. 3.
