Rockets' Eric Gordon: Hands out season-high eight dimes Wednesday

Gordon supplied nine points (3-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt), eight assists, two rebounds, and two blocks across 26 minutes during the Rockets' 132-98 win against the Kings on Wednesday.

Analysis:

Surprisingly, Gordon's two blocks were not a season high, as he recorded three back on Nov. 5 versus the Hawks. However, his eight assists were the most he has tallied since the 2014-15 season, and Gordon has thrived in whatever role he has been plugged into thus far for the Rockets. With Patrick Beverley back and playing well, Gordon is likely to remain in a sixth-man role going forward, but the soon-to-be 28-year-old guard is having by far his best statistical campaign in several years as a key cog in coach Mike D'Antoni's high-octane offense.
