Knicks' Kyle O'Quinn: Turns in huge double-double in return from ankle injury

O'Quinn (ankle) posted 22 points (9-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 28 minutes in Tuesday's 113-111 overtime loss to the Suns.

Analysis:

After sitting out Sunday's win over the Lakers with the minor ankle injury, O'Quinn returned in grand fashion Tuesday, providing his best outing of the season off the bench. While Joakim Noah remains the starting center, he's already proven incredibly brittle this season and hasn't consistently seen big minutes, so coach Jeff Hornacek could continue to deploy him in a timeshare with O'Quinn at the position. O'Quinn is averaging 12.7 points (on 64.8% shooting from the field), 10.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 blocks in 25.3 minutes per game over his last six appearances, numbers that make him worth at least a short-term look in deeper leagues.
