Knicks' Derrick Rose: Ruled out Friday

Rose (back) has officially been ruled out for Friday's game against the Kings, Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Rose was considered doubtful to play in the contest, rendering this decision unsurprising. It will be his second consecutive game missed with back spasms. Brandon Jennings will presumably fill in for him at point guard. Justin Holiday could see a slight increase in minutes as well. Rose should be considered day-to-day going forward with his next chance to return being Sunday against the Lakers.
