The Boston Celtics are interested in trading for Dallas Mavericks center Andrew Bogut, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Reports earlier in the week suggested the Mavericks would look to unload Bogut if their playoff hopes continue to fade, and the Celtics are a logical fit, given their lack of size and rebounding up front. However, Boston would need to unload a big contract on the Mavericks in order to absorb Bogut's $11-million salary.

It's unclear who the Celtics would look to deal, but big man Tyler Zeller could be an option given his struggles to see the court of late.

Bogut is expected to miss the next two weeks with a knee bruise, so it's unlikely that the Celtics will look to acquire him prior to his return.

The 7-footer is averaging 3.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 0.9 blocks in 16 games for the Mavericks this season.
