Grizzlies' Tony Allen: Grabs second double-double in three games

Allen registered 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds, two steals and one assist across 29 minutes in Thursday's 88-86 win over the Trail Blazers.

Analysis:

Allen continues to step up with the Grizzlies still down several key regulars due to injury, as this was his second double-double in three games. With Chandler Parsons (knee) and James Ennis (calf) still set to miss multiple games and Mike Conley (back) likely out until mid-to-late January, Allen should enjoy a stable 25-to-30-minute workload so long as his body can hold up. That's not a given in light of the extensive injury woes Allen has endured both this season and in years past, but with his health on solid ground for the time being, he might be worth a look in deeper leagues. He's averaging 11.5 points (on 52.7% shooting), 7.4 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.3 assists in 29.1 minutes per game over his last eight contests.
