Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Back at practice Thursday

Russell (knee) returned to practice Thursday.

Analysis:

After being cleared to return to basketball activities earlier in the week, Russell was back on the practice for Thursday for the first time since receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection in his sore left knee more than two weeks ago. The Lakers have declined to state when, exactly, Russell could return to game action, but he's already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Suns, and coach Luke Walton said Wednesday that Russell is unlikely to play Sunday against the Knicks. With that in mind, Russell will likely return to action sometime next week in the midst of the team's seven-game road swing, which begins Monday in Sacramento.
