Heat's Luke Babbitt: Ruled out for next four games

Babbitt (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup with the Knicks and won't be available for the team's subsequent three-game road trip, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Babbitt was able to get a partial practice Monday, but the team determined he wasn't progressing quick enough from the right hip flexor to be available for the next week. His next opportunity to play will come Dec. 12 against the Wizards. Along with Babbitt, Josh Richardson (ankle), James Johnson (shoulder), Dion Waiters (groin) and Justise Winslow (wrist) have all been ruled out for the road trip, which should allow the likes of Wayne Ellington, Rodney McGruder and Josh McRoberts -- among others -- to pick up extra minutes.
