Spurs' Tony Parker: Won't play Tuesday against Timberwolves

Parker (thigh) won't play Tuesday against the Timberwolves.

Analysis:

Parker has been battling a left thigh contusion, which had kept him out of two of the Spurs' past three contests. The veteran was able to start in Monday's win over the Bucks, but he aggravated the injury and was therefore restricted to only 18 minutes, in which he put up six points and five assists. The Spurs probably want to play it safe and sit Parker for the second half of the back-to-back set, so expect Nicolas Laprovittola to replace him in the starting lineup at point guard.
