Trail Blazers' Al-Farouq Aminu: Probable for Monday

Aminu (calf) has been upgraded to probable for Monday's game against the Bulls, Casey Holdahl of Blazers.com reports.

Analysis:

Aminu has been sidelined for the last 13 games with a left calf strain, but after returning to practice the last few days, it looks like he'll be cleared to play Monday. The Trail Blazers will presumably make sure that Aminu doesn't experience any setbacks during morning shootaround Monday before clearing him to play. There's always a chance that Aminu could be limited in his first game back from injury, but expect him to take back the starting power forward job from Ed Davis in short order.
