Magic's Elfrid Payton: Tweaks ankle during Tuesday's game

Payton rolled his right ankle during Tuesday's game against the Spurs, but an X-Ray performed after the game cleared him of a fracture, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Payton appeared to roll his ankle after landing on teammate Nikola Vucevic's foot and eventually went back to the locker room. While the severity of the injury remains unclear, he does not have a fracture, which means an extended absence may have been avoided. That said, we should get an updated status following Wednesday's practice, which should give us a better indication of what kind of pain and swelling he's dealing with. Consider him questionable for Thursday's matchup with the Grizzlies. Payton finished Tuesday's game with 10 points (5-9 FG), three rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block over 23 minutes.
