Rockets' K.J. McDaniels: Doesn't play in fifth straight game

McDaniels (coach's decision) didn't see the court in Sunday's 130-114 win over the Trail Blazers.

Analysis:

Since Patrick Beverley (knee) returned from injury Nov. 17 against the Trail Blazers, coach Mike D'Antoni has shortened his rotation over the last six games, as Beverley has effectively absorbed the playing time of McDaniels and Tyler Ennis. Aside from logging five minutes in that Nov. 17 game, McDaniels hasn't seen the floor during that six-game span. So long as the roster remains at full strength, McDaniels figures to remain outside of the rotation.
