Heat's Wayne Ellington: Upgraded to questionable for Monday

Ellington (thigh) has been upgraded to questionable for Monday's game against the Celtics, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Coach Erik Spoelstra indicated earlier Sunday that Ellington has yet to resume full practice since suffering from a deep right thigh bruise coming out of the preseason, but his upgraded status suggests he's knocking on the door of a return to action. The Heat will likely wait and see how Ellington performs during Monday's shootaround before determining if he's fit to play. Even if Ellington does get the green light to suit up Monday for the first time this season, it's unlikely he'd be handed significant minutes, as he could still be slightly limited by the injury and is somewhat buried on the depth chart as it is.
