Lakers' Nick Young: Knocks down game-winning three-pointer Tuesday

Young put up 17 points (6-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two blocks and one assist across 29 minutes in Tuesday's 111-109 win over the Thunder.

Analysis:

After the Lakers squandered a 14-point fourth-quarter lead to trail by one in the waning seconds of Tuesday's game, coach Luke Walton wanted the team's final possession to go through Lou Williams, but Young ended up intercepting a Brandon Ingram pass intended for Williams and calmly buried a go-ahead three-pointer with five seconds left to give his team the win. It was just another memorable moment in what's been a charmed season for Young, who is averaging 14.3 points and 2.7 three-pointers per game while shooting an excellent 45.9 percent from the field. He's more than solidified his spot in the starting lineup at this point, and could benefit from some additional looks on offense for at least one more game with D'Angelo Russell (knee) ruled out Wednesday against the Warriors.
