Nets' Jeremy Lin: Remains out Wednesday

Lin (hamstring) will sit out Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Brian Mahoney of The Associated Press reports.

Analysis:

The Nets initially put Lin on a two-week recovery timetable after he strained his hamstring in a Nov. 2 contest, and though the team noted after recently reevaluating him that he's progressing positively in his recovery, it still may take a few days before the injury is completely behind him. The 28-year-old was at least able to put in a hard workout a day earlier, so he hasn't been ruled out for either of the Nets' two contests over the weekend. Until Lin returns, Isaiah Whitehead is expected to continue starting at point guard, while Randy Foye and Yogi Ferrell pick up the spare minutes behind him.
