Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Will not play Friday

Russell has been ruled out of Friday's tilt with the Spurs due to knee soreness.

Analysis:

Russell has been averaging over 28 minutes a game through his last seven contests and now seems to be dealing with some routine soreness. Head coach Luke Walton has yet to name a replacement starter, with Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams, and Jose Calderon suspected to be the likely candidates. Look for more updates on Russell's status to come this weekend, as the Lakers welcome the Bulls to town Sunday night.
