Celtics' Al Horford: Will sit out Monday

Horford (concussion) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pelicans, Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe reports.

Analysis:

There was some hope that Horford would return Monday after he took part in morning shootaround, but the Celtics have opted to hold him out for a seventh straight game. Since Horford hasn't logged much practice time since sustaining the head injury, the big man is expected to log a full session Tuesday, and if all goes well, he'll be cleared to play Wednesday against the Mavericks. Kelly Olynyk will pick up another start at center Monday, but he or Amir Johnson could move to the bench as soon as Horford returns.
