DeRozan, Harden named Players of the Week

Toronto Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan and Houston Rockets point guard James Harden have been named Players of the Week for their respective conferences.

DeRozan carried the Raptors to a 3-0 week, averaging 34.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. DeRozan's incredible scoring week was highlighted by his performance against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night, pouring in 37 points to carry the Raptors to a come-from-behind victory.

Harden led the Rockets to a 2-1 record, averaging 27.0 points, 14.3 assists, and 9.7 rebounds, while recording back-to-back triple-doubles. The four-time All-Star currently leads the NBA in assists and ranks fifth in points per game.

Other nominees for the award included Dennis Schroder, Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler, Kemba Walker, Brook Lopez, Andrew Wiggins, Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Gordon Hayward, and Anthony Davis.
