Pelicans' Jrue Holiday: Out Monday vs. Celtics

Holiday (personal) is listed as "out" for Monday's game against the Celtics, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported last Friday that Holiday would make his season debut sometime this week, but it looks as though it won't come Monday. For what it's worth, coach Alvin Gentry said after Wojnarowski's report surfaced that there wasn't a timetable for Holiday's return, so it will be difficult to justify activating him in most leagues this week. The point guard, who has been away from the team since late in the summer, is expected to eventually reclaim his starting point guard role, which would likely push Tim Frazier to the bench. Holiday's next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Magic, and the Pelicans also play Friday (Trail Blazers) and Saturday (Hornets) later this week.
