Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving: Scores game-high 29 in Tuesday's loss
Irving scored 29 points (11-27 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT) while adding four assists, one rebound, one steal and one block in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 110-106 loss to the Hawks.
Analysis:
He bounced back in fine fashion from an eight-point effort Saturday, but it wasn't enough to help avoid the Cavs' first loss of the season. Irving's career-high 23.9 points per game so far is fueled mainly by impressive volume, as he's averaging more than 20 shots a game for the first time. If LeBron James is content to cede those touches to Irving, there's no reason to think he'll fall off this pace.
