Hornets' Spencer Hawes: Notches double-double

Hawes scored 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and added 13 rebounds, two steals and one assist in 22 minutes in a 122-100 win over the Pacers on Monday.

Analysis:

Hawes has 13 points in back-to-back games, but this is his first double-double of the season. However, Hawes is established as a backup big man by this point in his career, and he's not likely to find himself with a major role in the Hornets' offense. It helped Hawes' cause that starting power forward Marvin Williams, who normally sees around 30 minutes, was limited to 19 minutes Monday after dealing with an illness heading into the contest.
