Pistons' Jon Leuer: Scores 15 off bench Saturday
Leuer scored 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding three rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in 28 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 103-86 win over the Nuggets.
Analysis:
It was his best scoring performance on the young season, as Leuer's role on the Pistons' second unit more typically involves playing tough defense and crashing the glass. He's getting consistent, and significant, minutes though, and if Leuer can hang onto this role in the frontcourt rotation he should be able to top his previous career highs of 8.5 points and 5.6 boards a game, both set last season.
