Grizzlies' Marc Gasol: Goes 3-for-18 from field in win

Gasol provided eight points (3-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, six assists, three blocks and two steals across 38 minutes in Wednesday's 89-83 overtime win over the Pelicans.

Analysis:

In an ugly game in which both teams shot below 40 percent from the floor, Gasol, who had sat out Tuesday's loss to the Timberwolves for rest, may have been the biggest offender. While he's flashed more of a perimeter game this season, knocking down seven treys over four games, it's been a harmful development for his field-goal percentage, which sits at a grisly 32.8 percent. Gasol's at least been a force on the defensive end so far, averaging 7.5 boards and 2.3 blocks per game, both of which are improvements over his marks from 2015-16.
