Brooklyn Nets point guard Jeremy Lin won't return to Wednesday night's contest against the Detroit Pistons after suffering a strained left hamstring.
Lin played well prior to the injury, collecting 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, four assists, and two rebounds in just 15 minutes of action, and helping the Nets take a 71-55 lead into the half.
The 28-year-old has been one of Brooklyn's best players early on, averaging 16.3 points, 6.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 steals over the team's first four contests.
Brooklyn has little depth at point guard, with Greivis Vasquez and Randy Foye already out. Rookie Isaiah Whitehead should see extended minutes at the point should the trio continue to miss time.
