Raptors' DeMarre Carroll: Struggles in return

Carroll scored eight points (2-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and added seven rebounds, a steal and a block in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 109-91 win over the Pistons.

Analysis:

It was an inauspicious return for Carroll, who missed most of 2015-16 after having knee surgery in December. In his last full season in Atlanta in 2014-15, Carroll averaged 12.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.7 threes to go with 48.7 percent field goal shooting. This was his first game back in almost a year, so there is still justification for optimism.
