Pistons' Beno Udrih: Claimed off waivers by Detroit

Udrih was claimed off waivers Monday by the Pistons, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

With Reggie Jackson (knee) set to miss extended time to begin the season, the Pistons will bolster their depth at point guard by bringing in Udrih, who split last season between the Heat and Grizzlies. The 34-year-old, who was let go by the Heat over the weekend, will now slot in as the No. 2 point guard for the Pistons behind interim starter Ish Smith. In order to clear space on the roster, the Pistons waived Ray McCallum, according to Aaron McCann of MLive.com.
