Heat's Wayne Ellington: Unlikely to play Wednesday

Ellington (quad) doesn't appear likely to be available for Wednesday's season opener against the Magic, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

Ellington is still recovering from a quad contusion he sustained in Friday's preseason finale against the 76ers and has yet to turn in a full practice. It doesn't sound like he's progressing fast enough to be available for Wednesday, but his probable absence shouldn't affect the Heat's rotation too drastically. Dion Waiters and Tyler Johnson are set to cover most of the minutes at shooting guard.
