Rockets' Patrick Beverley: Recovery timetable now four-to-six weeks

Beverley (knee) is set to undergo arthroscopic surgery Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined for four-to-six weeks, Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Back on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports suggested that Beverley would need to miss only three weeks, but a four-to-six week timetable would seem to align with Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni's earlier claim that the point guard would miss at least 20 games. The Rockets are set to reevalute Beverley in mid-November, at which point it will likely be determined if he'll be out for the shorter or longer end of that recovery timetable. In the meantime, Pablo Prigioni will move up to the second spot on the depth chart at point guard, but he's unlikely to see a dramatic spike in playing time with James Harden expected to see 35-to-40 minutes per game.
