Nuggets' Jusuf Nurkic: Wins starting job

Nurkic has earned a spot in the starting rotation to start the season, Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

The Nuggets will begin the season with both Nikola Jokic and Nurkic in their frontcourt. Kenneth Faried will come off of the bench. The Nuggets have been trending in this direction throughout training camp, and Nuric gained their confidence through his stellar play. He averaged 14.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.4 steals over 24.7 minutes per game in the preseason. It remains to be seen how both Jokic and Nurkic will work together going forward.
