Heat's Luke Babbitt: Set to play Friday

Babbitt (groin) will start at power forward in Friday's preseason game against the 76ers, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

Babbitt missed the last week of games after injuring his groin, but he'll get back on the court Friday and try to make one last-ditch effort and claiming the starting power forward job. Given the time he's missed, Babbitt appears well behind Derrick Williams for those duties, but he should open the regular season in a rotation role nonetheless with Josh McRoberts (foot) still sidelined.
