Timberwolves' Shabazz Muhammad: Returns to practice Thursday

Muhammad (hip) returned to practice Thursday, but will be reevaluated Friday prior to the team's preseason finale versus the Hornets.

Analysis:

Muhammad has missed the last two games with a minor hip injury, but considering he was able to practice Thursday without any issues, he's likely being viewed as a candidate to play Friday. If he's ultimately held out of the contest, there's a good chance he'll be available for the Oct. 26 regular-season opener against the Grizzlies.
