Grizzlies' Troy Daniels: Sits out preseason finale

Daniels (knee) didn't play in the Grizzlies' 101-94 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

Analysis:

The extent of Daniels' knee injury isn't known, so the shooting guard will retain a day-to-day tag heading into the Oct. 26 regular-season opener against the Timberwolves. When healthy during the preseason, Daniels shot 3-for-20 from the field and 0-for-8 from three-point range in his four appearances, which probably takes him out of consideration for a rotation spot to begin the season.
