Thunder's Alex Abrines: Sits out of practice Thursday

Abrines (hip) was held out of Thursday's practice, but was able to participate in some light shooting, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.

Analysis:

Abrines suffered a bruised hip during the Thunder's preseason game Sunday against the Timberwolves and went on to miss the team's preseason finale Tuesday against the Nuggets. He has yet to return to full-contact practice, but with just under a week to go before the regular season begins, there's optimism that the rookie will be able to reclaim health by that time.
