Ex-Warrior Speights: Draymond hurt chemistry, 'got into it' with Klay

Although the Golden State Warriors enjoyed a near-flawless regular season, it was anything but a cakewalk in the locker room.

At the center of every controversy was outspoken power forward Draymond Green, whose brash personality bristled the Warriors on several occasions, ESPN's Ethan Sherwood Strauss reports.

Former Warriors center Marreese Speights shed a bit of insight into Green's character.

"Draymond f---ed up practice and s---," Speights said. "Draymond's a good guy, but I think at the end of the day, it hurt the whole chemistry of the year."

Green famously berated head coach Steve Kerr in a much-publicized dust-up in the locker room last season. But Kerr wasn't the only one to catch Green's famous temper.

"Draymond and Klay got into it a lot," Speights added.

Green's fury is something of a double-edged sword. That same fire that burns him in scenarios like his repeated low-blows in the playoffs is the same fire that fuels him to become one of the games's best players. The latter is plenty celebrated - but instances of the former are increasingly difficult to sweep under the rug.

"Guys don't respect you if you yell at them in front of all these fans. We're not trying to lose the game. F---," Speights added.
