Thunder's Enes Kanter: Tallies another double-double in spot start

Kanter registered 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two blocked shots and one assist across 22 minutes in Tuesday's 114-109 preseason loss to the Mavericks.

Analysis:

Double-double production is always on the table whenever Kanter sees 20-plus minutes, and with Steven Adams (ankle) sitting out, the Turkish big man was able to deliver. Though the Thunder have a void at power forward following the trade of Serge Ibaka, Kanter isn't being viewed as a candidate for the starting role since the team isn't able to space the floor very well when he shares the court with Adams. That duo will still probably see some time together each game out of necessity, but Kanter seems unlikely to regularly challenge for 30 minutes most nights. Still, as he displayed Tuesday, he rarely needs a full workload to churn out helpful fantasy lines.
