Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki: Will make preseason debut Tuesday

Nowitzki (rest) is expected to make his preseason debut Tuesday versus the Thunder, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Analysis:

Nowitzki has been held out of the start of the Mavericks' preseason schedule in order to limit his workload prior to the start of the regular season. The 38-year-old big man should be back on the court Tuesday, but there's a good chance he'll be on a minutes restriction. Even after the offseason pickup of Harrison Barnes, Nowitzki will likely remain the team's top scoring threat during the 2016-17 campaign.
