Hornets' Nicolas Batum: Will play Monday

Batum will return to the starting lineup for Monday's preseason game against the Timberwolves.

Analysis:

Batum was held out of action Saturday against the Celtics to rest, but coach Steve Clifford confirmed Monday morning that the Frenchman will be available to return to the court. Batum played 23 minutes in each of the team's first two exhibition contests, finishing with nine points and eight points, respectively.
