Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving: To be rested Monday
Irving will be rested during Monday's preseason game against the Hawks, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis:
The Cavaliers are holding out all members of their regular starting five, meaning that Irving, Kevin Love, LeBron James, Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert won't play. Irving made his preseason debut Saturday against the 76ers, finishing with 15 points, three assists and two rebounds in 19 minutes. In Irving's absence, rookie Kay Felder will step into the starting five at point guard.
