Pacers' Thaddeus Young: Double-doubles in Pacers debut

Young collected 12 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, an assist and a block across 19 minutes in Tuesday's 113-96 preseason victory over the Pelicans.

Analysis:

Young, who was acquired from the Nets in June, slid seamlessly into the Pacers' starting power forward role in his first game with the team. After averaging 15.1 points and a career-best 9.0 rebounds per game last season, Young figures to see his numbers take a hit as he moves to a far more talented squad, but he'll provide a big upgrade at a position where the Pacers often leaned on Lavoy Allen and Jordan Hill a season ago, even though both of those players were best reserved for bench roles.
