Kerr: Winning 74 games is 'not even a thought'

Despite adding a former MVP to their already stacked roster, the Golden State Warriors have little interest in topping 73 wins during the upcoming season, at least in the eyes of head coach Steve Kerr.

"It not even a thought," Kerr told reporters ahead of the Warriors' preseason opener against the Toronto Raptors. "I don't care if we added KD or Wilt Chamberlain."

Kerr isn't the only one who appears unwilling to chase history for the second consecutive season, as Draymond Green told reporters earlier in the week that going for 74 wins would be "brutal."

Chasing - and topping - the Bulls' record likely took a toll on the Warriors come playoff time, with a lack of rest playing a large part in Golden State's 3-1 collapse to the title-winning Cleveland Cavaliers.

With Steph Curry still not 100% healthy, Kerr will likely limit his players' minutes in the early going, saving their energy for when it matters most.
