Curry: My knee wasn't 100 percent during playoffs

While a knee sprain likely played a part in Steph Curry's poor shooting performance in this year's Finals, the Golden State Warriors point guard has zero regrets about his decision to play injured.

"I wasn't 100 percent, but who cares," Curry told ESPN's Darren Rovell. "I was playing, I was out there trying to help my team win and that's all that really matters."

The two-time MVP suffered the sprain during Game 4 of the Warriors' first-round matchup with the Houston Rockets, forcing him to miss the ensuing four contests. The injury appeared to hamper his play during the remainder of the postseason, particularly in the Finals, where Curry shot just 40.3 percent from the floor against the title-winning Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 6-foot-3 guard has worked hard this summer to ensure he's fully healthy when training camp rolls around, but isn't prepared to make any excuses should he suffer a setback.

"I'm taken advantage of this summer to get it right," Curry said. "I still have a little bit of work to do going into training camp. If you're out there playing and you're not 100 percent, no one's going to listen to that."

The Warriors will open camp later this month.
